Reblogged Post: Reflecting upon my Journeys at the Vis East Moot and how it Defined my Law School Experience

As a final year law student stuck at home in my ninth semester, I guess it is common to reflect upon the past four years at law school. For me, this process often transcends into reminiscing about significant or “definitive” moments that made me who I am today. Unsurprisingly, most of these moments are related to mooting. After all, I spent my second, third and fourth year of this five-year-long journey participating in six-month-long international moots. Further, a large portion of these moments was concentrated specifically on one moot – the Vis Moot. This was expected since I had participated in the Vis East Moot twice and coached a Vis Vienna team once. In one such moment of reflection, I asked myself – what is it about this moot that makes it so addictive to me? This article is perhaps my way of trying to answer that question…
